Egg and Embryo Freezing

Preserving your fertility options with expert care, advanced technology, and a personalised approach.
There are many reasons to think about preserving your fertility. You might not be ready to start a family just yet, you may be facing medical treatment that could affect your ovaries, or you may have a condition like endometriosis that can gradually reduce your egg reserve over time, particularly when endometriomas are present or surgery is needed.
Whatever your reason, freezing your eggs or embryos takes the pressure off the timeline and keeps your options open. Your consultant will talk you through what makes sense for you, and the same consultant will be with you from that first conversation right through to the day you're ready.
Sometimes the timing isn't right to start a family, but that doesn't mean your options should narrow. Egg freezing lets you preserve your fertility for the future, and can be especially valuable if your egg numbers are likely to decline, or if you're facing significant endometriomas or planned surgery. We collect and freeze your eggs while they're at their healthiest, so they're ready whenever you are.
If you have a partner or are using donor sperm, embryo freezing offers another path, fertilising your eggs now and preserving the resulting embryos for transfer when the time is right. Your consultant will help you consider whether it's the best option for you.
For many patients with moderate to severe endometriosis, IVF offers the best chance of pregnancy. At Fertility Plus, we optimise both the embryo and the uterine environment:
Protocols are chosen to balance egg yield and safety, with careful monitoring of response and ovarian reserve.
We usually culture embryos to the blastocyst stage, then use vitrification (fast freezing) to store them. Survival rates after thawing are very high, and this allows us to separate egg collection from embryo transfer.
We often favour frozen cycles in endometriosis, as they allow us to better manage hormones and inflammation. By avoiding the very high hormone levels of a fresh cycle, the lining may be more receptive and symptoms can be better controlled.
At Fertility Plus, we understand that endometriosis is complex and often overwhelming. Our role is to guide you through clear, evidence-based choices, using the full range of modern fertility and preservation options to give you the best possible chance of building your family.
If you would like to know more about your egg reserve and what preservation could look like for you, we're always happy to talk it through:
